Straight-Bar Pressdown

Straight-Bar Pressdown is a isolation elbow extension exercise for the triceps. Use a controlled range that keeps the target muscles loaded and the joints comfortable.

Set up

  1. 1Set the pulley height before selecting the load.
  2. 2Stand or sit far enough away to keep cable tension at both ends of the repetition.
  3. 3Set the upper arms in a stable position and choose a grip that keeps wrists comfortable.
  4. 4Start with the triceps lengthened and shoulders controlled.

How to perform it

  1. 1Extend the elbows until the arms are straight without moving the shoulders.

Breathing
